Placements24 is seeking an experienced Commercial Vehicle Technician for a permanent on-site role in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will diagnose, repair and service heavy-duty trucks and trailers, ensuring safety and minimal downtime while maintaining detailed repair records.

The ideal candidate has a diesel mechanic qualification, 5+ years of hands-on experience, proficiency with diagnostic tools, and a strong ability to read schematics, with a valid driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or Automotive Technician certification.
• 5+ years hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing heavy‑duty commercial vehicles.
• Experience with diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical diagnostics.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and tools for heavy vehicles.
• Strong understanding of vehicle safety systems and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license (Code 10 or higher preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.

Responsabilités
