Job summary

Herotel Telecoms (Pty) Ltd in Stellenbosch or Plattekloof is seeking a Commercial Programme Manager to lead business discovery, governance and delivery coordination across Revenue Operations and strategic priorities.

The role suits a structured, results-driven professional who can influence across functions without direct authority, asking the right questions and keeping teams aligned from concept to launch. Experience in telecoms or internet services is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, information systems or related field.
• 6–8 years related experience, with at least 3 years in programme, project or business analysis roles.
• Cross-functional commercial, product, technology or operational delivery experience.
• PRINCE2, PMP or CBAP certification will be advantageous.
• Strong business analysis skills, including mapping processes and defining gaps.
• Ability to translate decisions into integrated delivery plans.
• Solid governance, documentation and change-control knowledge.
• Excellent stakeholder facilitation and influencing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery with sponsors and stakeholders to interrogate business problems, objectives and assumptions.
• Facilitate As Is and To Be assessments of processes, systems and capabilities, and document the gaps.
• Elicit, analyse and validate requirements, scope, exclusions, constraints, dependencies and success criteria.
• Coordinate inputs for business cases by coordinating inputs on outcomes, options, risks and delivery implications.
• Turn approved objectives into integrated delivery plans with clear milestones, hand offs and dependencies.
• Establish and continuously improve practical commercial programme management practices, including intake, delivery standards, status reporting and change control.
• Maintain a single source of truth for scope, decisions, actions, risks, issues and dependencies, recording material decisions with their rationale and impact.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders, functional delivery owners and external partners on commitments, sequencing and hand offs.
• Report progress against milestones, escalate early and keep a consolidated view of commercial initiatives to support leadership on prioritisation and capacity.
• Define readiness criteria with stakeholders and coordinate process, communication, training, support and handover activities.
• Run post implementation reviews and feed lessons learned back into the way we deliver.
