Job summary

Placements24 is representing a prominent Centurion law firm seeking a motivated Commercial Litigation Associate to manage significant commercial disputes from inception through to resolution, including mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings.

You will advise clients on litigation strategy, draft pleadings, and mentor junior staff in a collegial, development-focused environment with flexible remote work options.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with strong academic record and 3–5 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Experience drafting complex pleadings and managing discovery processes.
• ADR experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of commercial litigation files, including pleadings, discovery, and appearances.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare compelling legal arguments and submissions.
• Represent clients in court, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Advise clients on litigation strategy and risk assessment.
• Negotiate settlements and manage client expectations effectively.
• Mentor junior legal staff and contribute to the firm's knowledge base.
