Placements24 is assisting a prestigious commercial law firm in Gauteng to appoint a Litigation Associate based in Tembisa. The role focuses on complex commercial disputes for a diverse SME to corporate client base, with emphasis on thorough case preparation, research, and strategic advisory.

Formación

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in commercial litigation.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
• Strong understanding of civil procedure and rules of evidence.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a caseload of commercial litigation matters from pleadings to trial and appeal.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits and court documents.
• Prepare for and conduct examinations of witnesses.
• Negotiate settlements and engage in ADR processes.
• Advise clients on litigation strategy and risk assessment.
• Collaborate with senior partners on case strategy.
• Maintain detailed case files and ensure deadlines are met.
• Assist in client development and relationship management.
