The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in cost estimation, contract administration, and risk management, with SACQSP registration advantageous. You will collaborate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to safeguard profitability and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field.
• SACQSP registration is advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in coastal or commercial developments.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and standard measurement techniques (e.g., SMM).
• Thorough understanding of construction contracts (JBCC, NEC, FIDIC) and their administration.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to reside or relocate to Mossel Bay area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BoQ, and tender documents for various construction projects.
• Administer construction contracts, including variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Conduct site valuations and prepare interim payment certificates for contractors.
• Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Provide procurement strategy and contract selection advice.
• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare project financial reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, contract conditions, and company policies.
