Job summary

Placements24 in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, is seeking a Hospitality & Leisure Architect to lead design of high-end hotels, resorts and leisure facilities. You will translate concepts into guest-centric environments and work with clients, operators and consultants.

The role requires a deep understanding of hospitality operations, collaboration across disciplines, and the ability to deliver distinctive architectural solutions in a prime coastal region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• 7+ years of hospitality/leisure architectural experience.
• Strong portfolio of hotels, resorts or leisure facilities.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and rendering tools.
• Knowledge of building codes, fire safety and accessibility standards.
• Experience in Western Cape coastal projects is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and client liaison skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospitality and leisure projects from concept to completion.
• Develop innovative designs aligned with client briefs and brand identities.
• Create detailed drawings, 3D models and visualizations to communicate design intent.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, safety regulations and operational standards.
• Collaborate with interior designers, landscape architects and consultants.
• Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies for potential developments.
• Oversee construction documentation and support contract administration.
• Stay abreast of global trends in hotel, resort and leisure design.
• Manage project schedules and budgets for timely delivery.
