Placements24 in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, is seeking a proactive Civil Site Engineer to supervise all on-site civil construction activities for key projects. You will ensure work aligns with drawings, specs and schedules while enforcing HSE standards and coordinating with contractors and consultants on a daily basis.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years' site supervision experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a solid understanding of coastal or marine construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or National Diploma.
• Minimum of 3 years of civil construction site supervision.
• Experience managing civil infrastructure projects, roads or building sites.
• Proficiency reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day on-site construction activities.
• Ensure work is executed per drawings, specs and schedules.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental standards on site.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
• Identify and resolve site issues promptly.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly site progress reports.
• Manage site resources including labour, materials and equipment.
• Liaise with project manager and design team on technical queries.
• Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
