Job summary

Square 1 Recruitment is seeking two skilled CNC Turning Setters for an Alrode-based engineering firm. You will set up and operate CNC turning machines, read drawings, load tools, set offsets and produce accurate parts to tight tolerances on Doosan Puma and Haas lathes.

You will also read CNC programs, perform basic edits, and ensure production runs meet quality standards. Experience with Fanuc controls is advantageous. Competitive salary depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience setting and operating CNC turning machines (lathes).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Hands-on experience with tool changes and offsets
• Track record of producing quality work to drawing specifications and tight tolerances
• Ability to read CNC programs
• Basic program editing is advantageous
• Experience with Fanuc controls is advantageous
• Experience on Doosan Puma and Haas lathes is preferred

An established engineering company is growing its turning team and is looking for two skilled CNC Turning Setters to help handle a steady workload and keep production running smoothly.

This role suits a hands-on setter who enjoys getting a job set up correctly the first time: reading the drawing, loading the tools, setting offsets and producing accurate parts to tight tolerances. You’ll be working on CNC lathes, ideally Doosan Puma and Haas machines, and you’ll be responsible for both setting and operating them.
