Job summary

Boardroom Appointments in Johannesburg seeks a Cloud Solutions Engineer/Architect to design, implement, and manage hybrid cloud solutions (on-prem + Azure). You will build secure, scalable cloud infrastructures aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities include automation scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash), backup and DR, and collaborating with security and development teams. You will monitor performance, security, and costs, and document architectures and SOPs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, solution design, or hybrid cloud implementation.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, storage, networking, security, automation).
• Experience with Hitachi Vantara technologies (storage, backup, DR).
• Expertise in hybrid cloud architecture and solution deployment.
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates) and automation scripting.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, compliance standards, and governance.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
