Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a senior Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using Hitachi Vantara and Microsoft Azure. You will build automation scripts and IaC templates, ensure backup and DR services, and work with cross-functional teams to align cloud strategies with business goals.

The role requires hands-on experience with cloud provisioning, scripting, and DevOps practices to maintain high availability and optimize cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
• Proven experience with Hitachi Vantara solutions and Microsoft Azure services.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible).
• Knowledge of scalability, reliability, and high availability design principles.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins).

• Implement automation frameworks for cloud provisioning, configuration, and scaling.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) templates and automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery services (IaaS, BaaS, DRaaS).
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and security teams to align cloud strategies with business needs.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Document processes, architectures, and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
• Proven experience with:
  • Hitachi Vantara solutions (storage, backup, DR).
  • Microsoft Azure services (compute, storage, networking, automation, backup & DR).
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Knowledge of scalability, reliability, and high availability design principles.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, etc.).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).
• Terraform or Kubernetes certification beneficial.
