Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect comprehensive cloud solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS), ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Lead the implementation of cloud infrastructure, services, and applications, focusing on scalability, security, and high availability.
• Develop and document architectural best practices, standards, and guidelines for cloud adoption and management.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize cloud resource utilization and control costs effectively.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members on AWS services and cloud architecture patterns.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services to enhance the company's cloud capabilities in Northern Cape.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing complex cloud solutions, with a strong focus on AWS.
• Proven expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and data management principles in a cloud context.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
