Job summary

Network Finance is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure for a portfolio of IoT and operational intelligence solutions. You will own the infrastructure, pipelines, and monitoring while collaborating with software, QA, and operations teams.

The role focuses on scalable cloud environments, security, and automation across the product lifecycle, with opportunities to work on renewable energy and telemetry platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
• 2–5 years of DevOps engineering experience.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Experience with scripting languages Bash, Python, or Node.js.
• Containerisation experience.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation tools including Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CD.
• Strong cloud platform exposure (AWS, Azure, GCP, Akamai, or Hetzner).
• Database administration and design experience (PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB).
• Strong infrastructure security and automation experience.
• Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS DevOps Engineer are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud and containerised environments.
• Optimise infrastructure performance, scalability, and costs.
• Design, implement, and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Embed security controls and vulnerability scanning into pipelines.
• Implement monitoring and observability with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Build dashboards and alerting for infrastructure health.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement preventative measures.
• Support products through full software lifecycle including releases and maintenance.
• Collaborate with Developers, QA, and Operations to improve delivery processes.
• Maintain secure, scalable, highly available infrastructure.
