Job summary

Network Finance is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure for a portfolio of IoT and operational intelligence solutions. You will own the infrastructure, pipelines, and monitoring while collaborating with software, QA, and operations teams.

The role focuses on scalable cloud environments, security, and automation across the product lifecycle, with opportunities to work on renewable energy and telemetry platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
  • 2–5 years of DevOps engineering experience.
  • Strong Linux administration skills.
  • Experience with scripting languages Bash, Python, or Node.js.
  • Containerisation experience.
  • Experience with CI/CD and automation tools including Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Strong cloud platform exposure (AWS, Azure, GCP, Akamai, or Hetzner).
  • Database administration and design experience (PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB).
  • Strong infrastructure security and automation experience.
  • Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Cloud certifications such as AWS DevOps Engineer are beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud and containerised environments.

  • Maintain secure, scalable, highly available infrastructure.

An exciting opportunity exists for a DevOps Engineer to join a highly innovative engineering environment focused on developing advanced IoT and operational intelligence solutions. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and services that support a growing portfolio of intelligent technology solutions.

This position offers exposure to a wide range of challenging projects, including renewable energy monitoring, battery management systems, smart automation, telemetry platforms, preventative maintenance solutions, and real-time data processing environments.

As the primary infrastructure owner, you will be responsible for ensuring that cloud environments, deployment pipelines, monitoring systems, and security frameworks remain scalable, reliable, and secure throughout the entire product lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, QA teams, and operational stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and support the ongoing growth of innovative technology products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud and containerised environments.

  • Support products and services throughout the full software lifecycle, including releases, updates, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with Developers, QA Engineers, and Operations teams to improve delivery processes and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure environments.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of DevOps Engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of Linux administration.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Node.js.
  • Practical containerisation experience.
  • Experience with CI/CD and automation tools including Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Strong cloud platform exposure, including AWS, Azure, GCP, Akamai, or Hetzner.
  • Database administration and design experience, preferably PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB.
  • Strong infrastructure security and automation experience.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience working within quality management frameworks will be advantageous.
  • Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS DevOps Engineer or similar will be beneficial.
