Job summary

Africa Health Research Institute NPC is seeking a CTU Manager to lead the planning, implementation, and execution of clinical trials in line with regulatory standards. You will manage a support team and collaborate with investigators, CRAs, and vendors to deliver high-quality trials from initiation to completion.

The role requires 5+ years in clinical research management, strong leadership, budgeting, and risk management competencies, with familiarity in HIV/AIDS or TB settings within Africa.

Qualifications

• Life science or healthcare degree; Masters' degree preferred.
• Five years of experience in a clinical research management position.
• Minimum of 2 years coordinating a clinical trial.
• Robust knowledge of GxP and management.
• Familiarity with HIV/AIDS and/or TB and Africa medical settings is desired.
• End-user computer proficiency, with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, implementation, and execution of clinical trials in compliance with regulations.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with data management, laboratory, and regulatory to ensure alignment.
• Manage relationships with vendors and CROs, ensuring protocol and quality compliance.
• Monitor trial progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate site initiation, monitoring visits, and study close-out activities.
