Placements24 is seeking a skilled Clinical Social Worker to join a remote-first team serving clients in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will deliver individual, couple, and family therapy, using telehealth to reach clients and coordinate care with local services.

The role requires an MSW, SACSSP registration, and 3–5 years of clinical experience. You will work independently from a quiet home office, with a focus on evidence-based modalities and client-centered outcomes.

About the Role

Our client, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening families and communities, is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Social Worker to join their remote-first team. This position will primarily serve clients in the Mossel Bay, Western Cape region, offering vital therapeutic services and support. You will work with individuals, couples, and families facing a wide range of challenges, including relationship difficulties, mental health issues, and life transitions. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to deliver expert care and guidance from the comfort of your own professional workspace. You will leverage technology to provide accessible and effective counseling and case management services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapy and counseling services to individuals, couples, and families.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and support groups as needed.
• Develop and implement intervention strategies to address mental health concerns, relationship dynamics, and family stressors.
• Maintain accurate, confidential client records in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, community agencies, and support services to ensure holistic client care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of best practices in social work and psychotherapy.
• Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to deliver remote clinical services.
• Advocate for clients' needs and connect them with appropriate community resources.
• Participate in regular supervision and team case consultations.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) as a Social Worker.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a therapeutic setting.
• Proven experience working with individuals, couples, and families.
• Strong knowledge of various therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, Family Systems Therapy).
• Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
• Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively in a remote setting.
• A dedicated, quiet home office space with reliable internet connectivity is essential.
