Job summary

Placements24 seeks a seasoned Civil Transportation Engineer to design and develop transportation infrastructure in Soweto. You will work on roads, intersections, and public transit projects to improve mobility and safety for the community.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years' experience in transportation design, excellent analytical and reporting skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, PTV Vissim and HCS. This is a full-time role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a transportation specialization.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation engineering design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, PTV Vissim, and HCS.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan transportation infrastructure projects, including roads, intersections and traffic management systems.
• Conduct traffic studies, analyses and simulations to optimize network performance.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications and cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with urban planners and other stakeholders to integrate transportation solutions.
• Assist in project tendering, contract administration, and construction supervision.
