Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Civil Project Engineer in Kimberley, Northern Cape to plan, design, and implement road and transport infrastructure projects. You will analyze geometric road designs, conduct surveys, and prepare reports using AutoCAD/Civil 3D. A 5+ year track record in road/transport engineering and SA standards knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in road and transport engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in geometric road design, pavement analysis, and hydrological studies.
• Proficiency in Civil Engineering design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with SA road design standards (CMIS, TRH) and relevant legislation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Professional registration (e.g., ECSA candidate) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze road and transport infrastructure projects, including geometric design, pavement design, and drainage systems.
• Conduct site assessments, surveys, and traffic studies to inform project planning.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and specifications using industry software.
• Manage project deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
