Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Civil Engineer focused on Urban Development to join our Kimberley team. The role involves planning, designing, and implementing infrastructure for new urban developments, including roads, stormwater, and utilities.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree, 5+ years in urban development or municipal design, and preferably Pr Eng with ECSA. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of urban development or municipal design experience.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee infrastructure for new urban developments, including roads, sidewalks, and public spaces.
• Manage design and coordination of water supply, sewerage, and stormwater drainage systems.
• Conduct site assessments and prepare feasibility studies for development projects.
• Liaise with municipal authorities, utility providers, and developers to obtain approvals and coordinate services.
• Ensure designs comply with municipal standards, zoning regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Supervise construction activities related to urban infrastructure development.
