Job summary

Communicate Recruitment is seeking a professionally registered Civil Engineer/Technologist in the Western Cape to lead civil infrastructure projects from concept and design through to construction and completion.

You will manage design work, coordinate with clients and contractors, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with standards and budgets, delivering practical solutions on multi-disciplinary teams across roads, water and municipal projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level civil engineering degree required.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Engineer or Technologist.
• Minimum 5 years' civil engineering experience.
• Proficient in civil design principles and project management software.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Skills & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of civil engineering design principles and practices
• Experience across infrastructure, roads, water, stormwater or municipal projects
• Proficiency in relevant engineering design and project management software
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to juggle multiple projects while keeping deadlines on track
• Minimum 5+ years’ relevant civil engineering experience
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites when required
