Job summary

Communicate Recruitment is seeking a professionally registered Civil Engineer/Technologist in the Western Cape to lead civil infrastructure projects from concept and design through to construction and completion.

You will manage design work, coordinate with clients and contractors, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with standards and budgets, delivering practical solutions on multi-disciplinary teams across roads, water and municipal projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level civil engineering degree required.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Engineer or Technologist.
• Minimum 5 years' civil engineering experience.
• Proficient in civil design principles and project management software.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, planning and management of civil projects.
• Develop and review technical reports, specifications and drawings.
• Ensure projects meet industry standards, regulations and quality requirements.
• Take ownership of budgets, timelines and project resources.
• Work closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct site inspections and provide hands-on engineering support during construction.
• Bring innovative, practical solutions to complex engineering challenges.
