Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in transportation engineering and infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Pavement Engineering software.
• Solid understanding of South African transportation standards and guidelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to undertake site visits within Bloemfontein, Free State.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop plans for road and highway projects, including geometric design, pavement design, and traffic management.
• Prepare technical specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates.
• Conduct site investigations, traffic studies, and feasibility analyses.
• Oversee construction activities for transportation projects, ensuring quality and adherence to schedules.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surveyors, urban planners, and environmental specialists.
• Liaise with clients, government authorities, and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, SANS codes, and environmental regulations.
