Placements24 is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our Upington team, focusing on transportation and road infrastructure projects. You will help plan, design, and execute road networks, bridges, and related transport systems to support regional connectivity and growth.

You will collaborate with project managers and construction crews to ensure safe, efficient delivery to high engineering standards, contributing to the long-term development of the Northern Cape region.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in road/transport infrastructure design and construction.
• Pr.Eng or Pr.Tech Eng registration with ECSA preferred.
• Experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD and pavement design packages.
• Strong knowledge of project management and contract administration.
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan new road construction projects including geometric, pavement, and drainage design.
• Oversee construction phases ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct traffic studies to inform road design and network planning.
• Prepare tender documents and manage contracts and project costs.

Requirements
