Job summary

Centurion Engineering Consultancy seeks a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join its design team in Centurion, Gauteng. You will design structural components for diverse building and infrastructure projects across South Africa, ensuring safety, cost-effectiveness, and code compliance.

A strong theoretical foundation and practical understanding of materials are essential. You will develop drawings, collaborate with architects and project managers, and mentor junior staff while staying updated

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr.Eng or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years post-graduate experience in structural engineering design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, Revit Structure).
• Strong understanding of steel, concrete and timber, plus structural mechanics.
• Experience in commercial, residential and industrial buildings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for new buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects.

• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and verify structural integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
• Professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Pr.Eng or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years of post-graduate experience in structural engineering design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, Revit Structure).
• Strong understanding of material science (steel, concrete, timber) and structural mechanics.
• Experience in a variety of project types, including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
