Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in road and pavement design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Civil Designer and pavement design software.
• Knowledge of relevant South African design standards and regulations.
• Willingness to relocate to Upington, Northern Cape.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and report-writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform geometric design of rural and urban roads, including alignments, intersections, and interchanges.
• Conduct pavement condition assessments and design new or rehabilitated pavement structures.
• Develop road drainage designs, including culverts and stormwater management systems.
• Prepare detailed design reports, specifications, and construction drawings using CAD software.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and Bills of Quantities.
• Coordinate with other disciplines such as structural and geotechnical engineers.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, including site inspections.
