Qualifications

• Ability to balance on-site duties with remote work.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.

Our client is seeking a compassionate and organized Childcare Supervisor to oversee daily operations and provide essential support to families in Paarl, Western Cape . This role requires a leader who can manage a team of childcare professionals while ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood development and a passion for fostering positive relationships with both children and their parents. This position involves a hybrid work model, combining on-site supervision with remote administrative and communication tasks. You will be instrumental in maintaining our client's high standards of care and support within the Paarl community, contributing to the well-being and development of young children.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of childcare providers, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
• Manage daily schedules, activities, and the overall flow of the childcare center.
• Conduct regular check-ins with staff to provide feedback, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
• Oversee child safety, health, and well-being, implementing and enforcing all relevant protocols.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and any relevant updates.
• Handle parent inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and empathy.
• Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new childcare staff.
• Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities for children.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and staff performance.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and ensure its effective implementation, both on-site and through remote coordination.

Requirements

• A diploma or degree in Early Childhood Development or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in childcare, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
