Placements24 is seeking a Head of Internal Audit in Randburg, Gauteng. The role leads the internal audit function, shaping strategy, directing a team of auditors, and ensuring robust risk management and controls across the organisation.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in internal audit, with at least 5 years in leadership, and holds CA(SA)/CIA/CISA certifications. Strong regulatory knowledge and report-writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required.
• Professional certifications (CA(SA), CIA, CISA) mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual internal audit plan based on risk assessments.
• Lead and manage the internal audit team, providing guidance and evaluations.
• Oversee audits across departments ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Assess adequacy/effectiveness of internal controls and identify remediation actions.
• Report findings to Audit Committee and senior management and monitor actions.
• Stay updated on regulations, industry best practices, and emerging risks.
• Conduct special investigations such as fraud investigations as required.
