A leading consortium in the Middle East is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee the financial strategy and performance of a large diversified holding group. This role involves strategic leadership in financial management, compliance, and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will have over 20 years of experience in financial leadership, particularly within multinational corporations. Knowledge of Qatar's financial landscape is highly preferred.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing the entire financial strategy, planning, and performance of one of the largest and most diversified holding groups in Qatar. This individual will provide strategic leadership in financial management, corporate governance, and risk mitigation while ensuring compliance with international accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives.
The CFO will play a pivotal role in guiding the group’s financial growth, strengthening investment strategies, and optimizing capital allocation across multiple subsidiaries spanning various industries including real estate, construction, manufacturing, hospitality, retail, and energy.
Strategic Leadership
Drive the overall financial strategy, aligning with corporate goals and long-term growth plans.
Provide financial leadership to the CEO, Board, and executive team, advising on business risks, opportunities, and market dynamics.
Lead mergers, acquisitions, and major investment decisions.
Financial Management
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis across all subsidiaries.
Ensure optimal capital structure, working capital management, and funding strategies.
Maintain robust treasury management, liquidity planning, and cash flow forecasting.
Monitor financial performance, profitability, and return on investments.
Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with IFRS, Qatari financial regulations, and international best practices.
Lead risk management frameworks, ensuring identification and mitigation of financial risks.
Oversee internal audit, controls, and corporate governance policies.
Operational & Organizational Leadership
Manage and mentor the finance leadership team and broader finance function.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and ethical financial practices.
Collaborate with business unit leaders to drive operational efficiencies and cost optimization.
Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, auditors, regulators, and key stakeholders.
Provide clear and insightful financial reporting to the Board and investors.
Strong financial and strategic acumen with proven track record in large, diversified organizations.
Leadership excellence with the ability to inspire and manage high-performing finance teams.
Expertise in investment strategies, M&A, corporate structuring, and capital markets.
Strong governance and compliance orientation, with in-depth knowledge of IFRS and international financial regulations.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex, and multicultural environment.
Education:
Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (preferred).
Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA highly advantageous.
Additional executive financial or leadership training programs desirable.
Experience:
20–22 years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally within large, diversified conglomerates, holding groups, or multinational corporations.
Minimum of 10 years in senior executive leadership roles (CFO, Deputy CFO, Group Finance Director, or equivalent).
Demonstrated success in managing multi-sector portfolios and cross-border financial operations.
Experience in Qatar, GCC, or broader Middle East markets strongly preferred.
Visionary leadership with strategic foresight.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional financial modeling and valuation skills.
Advanced knowledge of corporate finance, investments, and capital structuring.
High emotional intelligence with proven ability to lead diverse teams.
Fluency in English required.
