About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of construction safety regulations, risk assessment, and incident investigation, with a proven ability to foster a strong safety culture. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest safety standards are maintained, safeguarding personnel and project integrity. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the overall health and safety strategy for all construction projects in Soweto and surrounding areas.
• Ensure strict compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental (HSE) legislation and regulations.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for all site personnel, including management, supervisors, and labour.

Requirements

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, SAMTRAC, NOSA Diploma).
• Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., SAIOSH) as a Construction Health and Safety Officer (PrCHSO) or similar.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction health and safety management, with a significant portion in large-scale urban or complex construction environments.
