Job summary

Tongaat in Durban is seeking a dedicated pallet controller to manage pallet inventory, reconciliation, and related administration. The role supports dispatch and supply chain continuity, coordinating procurement and customer exchanges with transporters and service providers.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years in an accounting environment, strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills, and a proactive safety mindset to inspire positive warehouse culture.

Qualifications

• Matric and a tertiary qualification add advantage.
• Minimum 3 years in an accounting environment.
• Able to influence processes at all levels and persuade contributions.
• Safety focused with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate pallet stock reconciliation and record keeping.

The responsibilities of the post include the following duties amongst others:

• Maintain pallet-related administration and reporting.

• Liaise with customers, transporters, and service providers to ensure efficient pallet management.

The ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:

• Matric plus a tertiary qualification will be an added advantage.
• A minimum 3 years in an accounting environment
• A good communicator with a strong, confident and assertive personality, able to influence relevant processes at all levels and persuade others to make contributions.
