Placements24 in East London is seeking a proactive Chemical Project Engineer to manage capital projects from concept through to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget control and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will coordinate with internal teams, external contractors and suppliers, lead design, procurement, construction and commissioning, and drive project reviews with stakeholders to meet expansion and modernization goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in project engineering or project management within the chemical/process industries.
• Experience managing capital projects from concept to completion.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project).
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills in East London.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Chemical Project Engineer to manage and execute capital projects within their manufacturing facilities in East London . This role involves overseeing projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards. You will coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and suppliers, playing a key role in the expansion and modernization of our chemical production capabilities. The ideal candidate has strong project management skills and a solid understanding of chemical plant design and construction.
