Placements24 is seeking a results-driven Production Engineer - Chemical for our Rustenburg facility. You will oversee daily chemical production, drive efficiency, and ensure safety and quality standards across operations.

You will collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues and implement improvement projects. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and 5+ years in production/manufacturing engineering within the chemical sector, with

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in production/manufacturing engineering in the chemical sector.
Experience with production scheduling and resource management.
Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Experience with industrial automation and control systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage daily chemical production activities to meet targets.
Implement and monitor lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to minimize equipment downtime and ensure reliability.
Investigate production variances and implement corrective and preventative actions.
Develop training programs for production operators on new processes and equipment.
