Qualifications

• BEng/BSc or MEng/MSc in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical process design and engineering.
• Proficiency in process simulation and design software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS, AutoCAD P&ID).
• Strong understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals, including fluid dynamics, heat transfer.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual designs and feasibility studies for new chemical processes.
• Create Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Perform mass and energy balances for chemical processes.
• Size and specify process equipment, including reactors, heat exchangers, pumps, and separation units.
• Utilize process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) to model and optimize designs.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, civil).
• Prepare technical specifications and documentation for procurement and construction.
• Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases of projects.
• Conduct design reviews and participate in HAZOP studies.
