Job summary

One&Only Cape Town, set on the vibrant waterfront, is seeking a skilled kitchen leader to oversee daily operations and uphold the resort's high standards.

You will supervise the kitchen team, ensure food quality, hygiene, and cost controls, and engage with guests to resolve feedback. The role requires a culinary diploma and experience in luxury hospitality; advanced English is valued.

Qualifications

• Culinary school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years of kitchen experience, preferably in luxury hotels.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety systems.
• Basic English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations in line with Executive Chef standards.
• Maintain high levels of food quality, hygiene and cost control.
• Train and motivate kitchen staff and coordinate with other departments.
• Engage with guests and respond professionally to feedback and complaints.
• Ensure correct mise en place, labeling, storage and waste control.
• Maintain equipment and coordinate maintenance and safety.
