Honey Recruitment Specialists is partnering with a dynamic property development group to recruit a Chief Financial Officer. The CFO will steer financial planning, reporting, and compliance to support strategic growth across development projects and investments.

The role requires CA(SA) or equivalent, 5+ years in senior financial management, and strong expertise in budgeting, cash flow, and regulatory matters within South Africa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification.
• At least 5 years in a senior financial management role.
• Strong knowledge of South African financial regulations and tax laws.
• Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Leadership capabilities and strategic mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic investments and development projects.
• Monitor key financial metrics for fiscal health.
• Develop and manage the annual budget with department heads.
• Oversee cash flow, receivables, payables, and banking relationships.
• Ensure compliance with South African financial regulations and tax laws.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage compliance documentation.
• Support growth through financial modelling and capital allocation.
• Collaborate to optimise inter-company transactions and loan structures.
• Lead preparation of forecasts and long-term planning.
