Job summary

Oostelike Personeel Konsultante in Centurion seeks a confident Retail Branch Bookkeeper to own the store’s daily financial and branch accounting operations. The role reports to Store Manager with dotted line to Head Office Finance and requires hands-on management of cash, debtor accounts, supplier reconciliations, and balance sheet preparation.

You will enforce internal controls, manage petty cash and POS processes, and ensure compliance with company procedures in a fast-paced automotive parts

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years bookkeeping up to Trial Balance in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Matric with Accounting and a tertiary bookkeeping/accounting qualification (e.g., ICB Diploma, National Diploma, or BCom).
• MS Excel – intermediate to advanced; experience using retail ERP/accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Cash & till reconciliation: supervise cashiers, oversee float distribution, balance credit card terminals, and daily deposits.
• Debtors & trade counter credit: manage customer accounts, allocate payments, enforce limits, and chase overdue accounts.
• Creditors & supplier matching: process invoices, check GRNs against POs, resolve discrepancies, and prepare monthly reconciliations.
• Stock & margin safeguards: coordinate with inventory/dispatch to audit stock, process returns, and track cost variances.
• General Ledger & month-end: prepare journals, reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules for Head Office review.
• Policy & internal controls: enforce firm controls with staff and customers in line with SOPs and POPIA.
