Job summary

Centurion-based junior bookkeeper role offering mentorship to build your accounting career within a national food retail brand. You will support daily accounts, learn reporting, and help keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include daily bookkeeping up to trial balance, VAT schedules, payroll support, and bank reconciliations using Sage Evolution. Matric with accounting and a relevant qualification are required; strong Excel/Sheets skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Matric with Accounting or Mathematics required.
• Tertiary qualification in Financial Management or Accounting.
• Experience up to trial balance.
• Hands-on Sage Evolution experience.
• Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills.
• Team player with eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Process daily bookkeeping entries up to trial balance.
• Reconcile supplier statements and assist with onboarding creditors.
• Assist with month-end VAT schedules and audit preparation files.
• Support payroll records and basic payroll administration.
• Capture daily entries using Sage Evolution.
• Reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and credit card expenses.
• Prepare clear spreadsheets for review.
