Placements24 is seeking a strategic Head of Catering Procurement & Logistics for operations in Paarl, Western Cape. You will oversee the entire catering supply chain, from sourcing ingredients and managing supplier relations to executing efficient event logistics.

The role requires 6+ years in procurement or logistics within catering or hospitality, strong negotiation, budgeting, and food safety expertise, and proven leadership to drive cost efficiencies across multiple events.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in procurement or logistics, preferably catering or hospitality.
• Proven ability to manage complex supply chains and negotiate contracts.
• Strong inventory management principles and best practices.
• Budget management and financial performance experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic procurement plans for catering supplies, ingredients, and equipment.
• Negotiate supplier contracts to ensure quality and competitive pricing.
• Oversee inventory systems to minimize waste and maintain stock levels.
• Plan transport and delivery logistics for catering services to event venues.
• Ensure food safety and quality control across the supply chain.
• Collaborate with culinary and events teams to forecast needs and coordinate delivery.
• Monitor market trends for cost savings and process improvements.
• Maintain supplier relationships and manage procurement budgets.
• Lead and mentor procurement and logistics teams.
