Job summary

Tsebo Solutions Group in Durban is seeking a proactive Cashier to handle POS transactions, cash control, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will balance tills, issue receipts, and maintain a clean cashier area in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a National Senior Certificate, 2–3 years of cashier or customer service experience, and basic numeracy. Experience in catering/hospitality is an advantage.

Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate is required.
• 2-3 years working experience is preferred.
• Previous cashier or customer service experience is advantageous.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills are expected.
• Experience in a catering or hospitality environment is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
• Process cash, card, and voucher transactions in line with procedures.
• Balance cash float at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Issue receipts and ensure correct pricing at all times.
• Maintain a clean, orderly cashier area and provide courteous service.
• Handle customer queries and escalate issues when required.
• Adhere to food safety, health and safety standards and Tsebo policies.
• Support the catering team during peak periods and greet customers.

Duties & Responsibilities
