Job summary

Direct Hire is seeking an entry-level Cash Handling Associate in South Africa to receive cash deposits, process them on our banking system, and ensure accurate daily balancing. You will sort notes, verify transactions, and maintain compliance with SOPs and bank SLAs.

This role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include processing deposits, reconciling end-of-day cash, and reporting discrepancies to the Team Controller.

Qualifications

• Not participated in the National Certificate: Banking previously
• Grade 12 with Math's /Literacy
• Age 18-29

Responsibilities

• Receive deposits and update on the applicable systems.
• Process deposits per banks SLAs and SOPs on the system.
• Sort deposits/notes and balance per deposit.
• Perform end of day balancing and reconciliation of cash received.
• Process bulk coin deposits and verify money with the bin page.
• Validate transactions linked to system integrations per bank SLA.
