Job summary

Managed People Solutions Pty in Johannesburg is seeking a meticulous Cash Officer to own day-to-day cash management and financial administration, including supplier payments and precise record-keeping.

You will count, balance, and reconcile cash, prepare cash flow and payment reports, and ensure internal controls in a high-volume environment are followed to support operational decisions.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping or related field advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in cash management or similar finance role.
• Experience with high-volume cash transactions and supplier payments.
• Experience in busy operational environments is advantageous.
• Strong cash handling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process daily EFT and supplier payments accurately and within timelines.
• Manage and reconcile high-volume cash receipts and payments.
• Ensure payments are authorised and supported by documentation.
• Maintain cashbook records and payment schedules.
• Count, balance, and reconcile physical cash daily.
• Investigate and resolve cash discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain controls in a high-volume cash environment.
• Process supplier invoices and related financial documents.
• Monitor outstanding accounts and terms.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare cash flow reports, payment reports, and transaction summaries.
• Provide management with accurate financial information for decisions.
