Job summary

Yuppiechef Online (Pty) Ltd in Cape Town is seeking a temp Customer Service assistant for the festive period (Nov 16 to Dec 31). Office-based, Monday to Friday, with occasional public holidays and Saturdays.

You will fulfil customer card requests with care, ensure orders are processed quickly, and work closely with the Customer Support team to represent our brand. Ideal candidates live near Westlake, enjoy food and homeware, have neat handwriting and strong language skills, and can stay calm

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matriculated.
• Excellent handwriting and language skills.
• Comfortable working with computer-based systems.
• Able to coordinate tasks during busy festive period.

Job description

There is a time from November through December each year, where our team moves a little faster and orders are filled a little quicker. It's the Festive Season at Yuppiechef and we do all we can to make sure that not a single customer is let down when they order with us. We are looking to add hands to our Customer Service team who will ensure that our gift cards are written with care and love.

As Yuppiechef is no ordinary place to work and although every single employee (with legible hand writing that is) writes cards on a daily basis, over the festive season, we need some extra help.

• Must live in an easily commutable vicinity of our head office in Westlake
• You feel energised when talking about food, cooking, entertaining and homeware
• Creative and imaginative and can draw on inspiration from various sources
• Remains calm under pressure
• Enjoys the challenge of making repetitive tasks interesting and efficient
• Can effectively self-manage time and prioritise
• A team player with a collaborative and supportive nature
• Comfortable working with computer-based systems
• Able to readily engage with colleaguesExcellent handwriting and language skills

What this role looks like:

• Office-based role (Mondays - Fridays)
• Festive period with occasional shifts on public holidays and Saturdays.
• Duration 16 November 2026 - 31 December 2026 (subject to change)

• Ensuring customer orders are fulfilled as quickly as possible
