Job summary

Pick n Pay is seeking a till-stand customer service associate in the Western Cape. You will accurately process purchases, handle payments, and ensure a smooth checkout while maintaining a clean till area in line with company policies.

The role requires Grade 12, English communication, and the ability to work shifts. You’ll be part of a team that thrives on quick, courteous service and attention to detail in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Successful numeracy screening assessments.
• Must communicate in English.
• Willing to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Pack purchased goods into checkout bags and trolleys according to the required standard.
• Use of detergents and cleaning materials/chemicals.
• Be customer minded by seeing situations through the eyes of the customer and responding positively.
• Excellent communication skills by listening attentively, responding appropriately and talking in a clear, understandable manner.
• Display a sense of urgency in completing tasks efficiently.
• Perform routine tasks at a consistent high standard.
• Develop self by seeking opportunities to improve/grow.
• Be willing to be flexible and multi-skilled.
