Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a technically minded Support Engineer based in Cape Town for a full-time, in-office role. You will install, configure, and support Linux and Mac laptops, assist a hybrid and international user base, and coordinate hardware, software, and networking issue resolution.

You will administer Google Workspace, contribute to IT security efforts, and engage with vendors for specialised repairs. Strong communication and multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux/Mac laptop support and IT infrastructure
• Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues
• Experience administering Google Workspace and familiarity with cloud solutions (AWS)
• Knowledge of endpoint security and networking fundamentals
• Strong communication, proactive problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
• Based in Cape Town and able to work in-office
• Familiarity with POPI / ISO 27001 is a plus
• CompTIA A+ and/or N+ certifications are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and update Linux/Mac laptops
• Provide on-site or remote IT support for a hybrid/international user base
• Repair or coordinate hardware/software/network issues with vendors
• Support authentication systems like Google Workspace and LastPass
• Respond to IT/Cloud support requests and diagnose issues
• Ensure IT infrastructure software is kept up to date
