Job summary

AGL Group, Africa Global Logistics South Africa, seeks a Financial Controller for the Cape Town Terminals to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. You will ensure accuracy, drive strategic financial planning, and support overall objectives.

Lead the finance team, manage month-end close, cash flow, working capital, internal controls, audits, and continuous process improvements using new software to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; professional certification is a plus.
• 5+ years in financial management with supervisory experience.
• Experience in logistics, shipping, or terminal operations is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the Cape Town branch.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and provide strategic recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and accounting standards.
• Maintain internal controls and coordinate audits with internal/external auditors.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, and inventory management.
• Develop the finance team and drive process improvements.
