Placements24 in Cape Town is seeking an enthusiastic E-commerce Social Media Coordinator to manage day-to-day social media activities, content scheduling, community engagement, and reporting on performance metrics to drive traffic and sales for our online store. You will join a dynamic marketing team and play a key role in enhancing our brand's online presence within the South African e-commerce market.

A relevant degree and 1–2 years' experience are preferred, with familiarity across Instagram,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, or related field required.
• 1-2 years of experience in social media management or similar role, preferably in e-commerce.
• Familiarity with major platforms: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest.
• Basic understanding of social media analytics and reporting.
• Strong written and communication skills, passion for digital storytelling.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and publish daily content across social channels using management platforms.
• Monitor channels for inquiries, respond promptly and professionally.
• Assist in creating social graphics and copy aligned with brand guidelines.
• Track performance with analytics tools and compile weekly/monthly reports.
• Engage with followers to build community and enhance brand loyalty.
• Support Social Media Manager in campaigns and content opportunities.
