• Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a hybrid team, balancing remote tasks with necessary on-site responsibilities in Cape Town.
• Experience with inventory management and budget control.
• Proficiency in relevant software, including Microsoft Office Suite and sanitation management systems.
• A relevant qualification in a related field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all sanitation activities across assigned sites in the Cape Town region, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain detailed sanitation schedules and procedures for all operational areas.
• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of sanitation professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess cleanliness, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage the procurement and inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal utilization.
• Investigate sanitation-related issues, complaints, and incidents, implementing corrective actions and documenting findings.
• Collaborate with local management teams and department heads to address specific sanitation needs and integrate best practices into daily operations.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on sanitation performance, including key metrics, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and waste materials in accordance with environmental guidelines.
