Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Hygiene and Sanitation Specialist to lead sanitation programs at our Cape Town facilities. This hybrid role combines on-site leadership with remote coordination to uphold top hygiene standards and regulatory compliance.

You will develop sanitation plans, conduct audits, train staff, manage supplies, and report findings to drive continuous improvement while coordinating with other departments and maintaining safety and environmental health.

Qualifications

• Experience in sanitation, hygiene, or environmental health roles.
• Knowledge of SA health and safety legislation.
• Strong analytical and training skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust sanitation plans and hygiene protocols for all operational areas.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with hygiene standards and regulations.
• Investigate sanitation-related incidents and implement corrective action plans.
• Manage and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on proper hygiene practices and the safe use of cleaning materials.
• Collaborate with department heads to address specific cleaning needs and challenges.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure best practices are maintained.
• Prepare detailed reports on sanitation activities, audit findings, and improvement recommendations.
• Oversee the scheduling and deployment of cleaning staff and resources.
• Ensure all waste disposal procedures comply with environmental and health regulations.
