Switch Recruit in Cape Town seeks an experienced logistics professional to own an existing customer portfolio, ensuring excellent service delivery and strong client relationships while pursuing new business targets.

You will supervise two staff members (an Airfreight Controller and a Driver) and coordinate sales and operations to meet customer requirements, improve processes, and contribute to the branch’s overall success.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of airfreight experience in a similar role.
• Solid operational background within airfreight.
• Experience in customer relationship management or sales within airfreight.
• Ability to manage staff while balancing operations and customer-facing duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain an existing portfolio of customers, ensuring consistent service delivery.
• Source new business.
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities to grow accounts.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Cape Town office, ensuring operational efficiency and effective service delivery.
• Manage and support two staff members, including an Airfreight Controller and a Driver.
• Coordinate sales and operational activities to meet customer requirements efficiently and professionally.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen customer retention and contribute to the branch’s success.
