Job summary

Citra invites applications for a Candidate Architect (recent Master’s graduate) to bridge architectural theory with practical design in Ndabeni, Cape Town. You will work with senior architects and interdisciplinary teams, developing designs through the full project lifecycle while pursuing professional registration.

This is a one-year contract with mentorship toward SACAP registration, exposure to advanced building technology, and opportunities to contribute to innovative, sustainable housing

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Architecture (M.Arch or equivalent professional degree).
• Proficiency in Revit is non‑negotiable.
• Fluency in English.
• Registered (or in process) with SACAP as a Candidate Architect.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing architectural designs from concept through technical documentation under mentorship.
• Produce high-quality 3D models, presentations, and design reports for internal and external review.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary design and construction teams to maintain design intent.
• Assist with preparation and submission of local authority documentation.
• Participate in site visits and coordination meetings to gain practical experience.
