Job summary

Wild Dreams Hospitality in Limpopo seeks an experienced guest relations leader for a live-in, full-time role at a luxury safari lodge. You will host guests, manage arrivals and departures, and craft personalized stay experiences while coordinating with kitchen, butler and bar teams to deliver flawless service.

Ideal candidates will have 1+ year in a 5-star setting, strong leadership, and excellent guest-focused hosting abilities; MS Office skills and a proactive, learning mindset are essential.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year’s relevant experience within a 5-star operation.
  • Previous experience in a guest-facing hospitality or service environment.
  • Managerial experience essential.
  • Strong leadership and team management ability.
  • Exceptional guest relations and hosting skills.
  • Professional, courteous and highly presentable.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare personalised welcome, departure and special occasion notes for guests.
  • Manage guest check-ins and check-outs, dietary requirements and special requests.
  • Meet and host guests and conduct site inspections.
  • Plan each guest’s stay and create personalised touchpoints throughout their experience.
  • Develop creative and memorable guest delights both at the lodge and in the bush.
  • Ensure guest information and preferences are accurately communicated across departments.
  • Continuously review the guest experience and identify opportunities to elevate the product.
  • Ensure luxury standards and guest experience requirements are consistently maintained.
  • Check breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner setups and host meals.
  • Work closely with the Kitchen, Butler and Bar teams to ensure smooth service.
  • Review guest feedback and scores and develop solutions to address areas requiring improvement.
  • Ensure guest areas and arrival rooms are presented to the required standards.
  • Work closely with the Butlers, Operations Manager and Lodge Manager to consistently exceed guest expectations.
  • Assist management with monthly stock takes, stock orders and general stock control.
  • Assist with guest bills, daysheets, gratuities and other lodge administration.
  • Maintain open communication between departments to ensure guest information flows freely.
  • Support lodge operations when the Hospitality Manager or Operations Manager is on leave.
  • Assist in the Safari Shop when required.
  • Help develop and enhance outreach programmes.
  • Remain up to date with LMS requirements and Meta compliance.
  • Support the integration of the digital daysheet, ensuring guest preferences and experience-related notes are accurately captured.
  • Participate in training, remain aware of hospitality trends and share knowledge with fellow team members.
